Drouned, dround, drowned...huh??

So I just realized that I'm a moron. My whole life I have thought the word "Drowning" was pronounced "Drownding." I thought drowned was present tense. For example: "Don't go in the water after you eat, you might drown." I thought "Don't go in the water after you eat, you might drowned." Now, since my mind is soo locked into thinking the word sounds like "drownd" when spoken, it's going to feel weird saying "drown"... just doesn't sound right to me. I think I've been spelling it wrong my whole life too. Thus, hither, henceforth.. I'm a dumbass.
